Mediset and Delivery

Mediset and delivery services are available to all The Pill Box customers. Delivery is available Monday through Saturday, for a small fee. Mediset services is also available on a weekly (preferred), biweekly, or monthly basis. This service allows the pharmacist to monitor medication usage and ensure the prescriptions do not run out of refills, so there is no lapse in medication treatment (if the prescriptions are being filled the The Pill Box Pharmacy). The mediset service is also available to customers who do not get their prescriptions filled at The Pill Box Pharmacy, for a nominal fee. All customers participating in this service initially must purchase a minimum amount of two medisets - one for home and one to be refilled.

Description: The pharmacists will divide the patient's medication into two different times of day, based on the best time to take the medications (morning, noon, evening, and bedtime). They will refill this for the patients, monitoring for missed doses, and helping to ensure patient adherence. This service enables those who cannot see well or have problems remembering when to take their medications to get every dose interval daily to obtain the best results from their medications.

Wound Care and Ostomy

The Pill Box pharmacists are knowledgeable and able to help patients find the appropriate wound care and ostomy products. Many of these products are kept in stock, but could be ordered if not, arriving within 24 to 48 hours. The Pill Box also has the ability to bill these to Medicare and other insurances (who will accept our billing) when necessary (except when the patient is under Home Health Care Coverage).
